Lab 9: "Physical Properties of Minerals" This is an essential site for 3-D rotational viewing of internal mineral structures at the U of Indiana. Be sure to look at the silicate structures!

Lab 10: Internal Structure of Minerals:  Go to the Inorganic Crystal Database, and select the examples circled on handout. Concentrate on matching silicates with your classroom model. Lab 32: To check the accuracy of your calculated spreading rates, go to the SEAFLOOR SPREADING RATE CALCULATOR and enter the latitude and longitude of your study area. Then check the global MAP OF SEAFLOOR AGES to see the relative age of the ocean bottom
